When God is Silent

In my previous post, I wrote about what happens when you feel like you are doing your best - staying accountable, walking uprightly - and yet God feels silent. What happens when you’re doing everything “right”, but things still feel hard?  How do you feel when effort doesn’t immediately produce results, or obedience feels unrewarded? Today, let’s talk realistically about what happens when we feel God is silent. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ The other day, I was reflecting on Job, and his friends - Zophar, Eliphaz, and Bildad - and all the conversations they had with him. I was particularly drawn to Job 21 when Job replied Zophar. The chapter stirred something in me, making me ask deep questions, and I want to share them with you.    What do you do when God is silent? Scratch that. Let me rephrase: Has God ever gone silent on you? Like cold-turkey silent. No signal whatsoever. Job was at the point in his life where he really needed God to speak up - but God did not. How would you feel if you...

Accountability and Discipline: The Cost of Doing It Right

Hello, my people! How una dey this fine day? January don reach week 6? Abi e still dey ok? How far with the goal-getting? E sure ? No loose guard oo. Stay on track! I believe in you 100%.  By the way, here's a free resource to help with planning your 2026, because planning ahead na better tin. Let me be honest - " e no easy at all " . And that’s where boundaries come in. Boundaries are like markers, they help you know when to turn back and stay within a safe zone. One simple way I do this is by setting tasks. Tasks keep me occupied, sure thing, but more importantly, they keep me accountable . When I know what I should be doing, I’m less likely to drift. Speaking of accountability, that’s one thing I want us to practice intentionally this year: Be accountable - to you! Let your acco...

What I’m Carrying Forward - 2026 Edition

Welcome to 2026!  I am so thankful to be here - with you. We made it! Source Going forward, this will be part of my yearly reflection series- an intentional pause to look back at the year that shaped me, acknowledge what it taught me, and decide what I’m carrying forward into the next one. In the final days of 2025, I spent a lot of time on Instagram, scrolling through posts, reels, and carousels. I found many of them to be inspirational, comforting, and sometimes just goofy. One phrase kept showing up: “2025 stretched me.” By the time I saw the tenth person say it, I paused. What was it about the year that made so many of us say the same thing? I say “us” because I felt the stretch too. In fact, 2025 was more than a stretch. It redefined me. It humbled me. It disciplined me. It brought me to my knees. If that isn’t stretching, I’m not sure what is. That stretching forced me to look inward and confront the truth about myself: my strengths, my shortcomings, what makes me un...
